A Place at the Table (We Have Always Been at the Table) Women as Leaders, Thinkers, Artists...Transforming Our World.
Intermedia Arts Minneapolis, MN March 2015
Part of a month of events investigating and celebrating the power of women.
Curated and designed by Ellen Marie Hinchliffe
A chair altar, a chair universe, a chair history lesson, a chair memorial, a chair honoring. A gathering of chairs, a place at the table because we have always been at this table.
This show came about because I have a daughter.
This show came about because Toni Morrison is brilliant. She said the characters that people get the most uncomfortable with are the ones that are dangerously free.
This show came about because we must be dangerously free. Because I want my daughter to be dangerously free.
